Held at Paragon Shopping Centre, Ferragamo took over most of the ground floor space of one of Orchard Road’s premier high-end malls to present its Spring/Summer Collection. Alluding to the resort presentation, a warm and steamy night in downtown Singapore was the perfect location for Ferragamo’s showing of Massimiliano Giornetti‘s designs. And a fitting guest-of-honour was one of Korea’s leading young actresses, Park Shin Hye.
Guests trickled in as glasses tinkled to the sound of pours and cheers going around the carpeted area just outside of the Ferragamo boutique. It was a teeming mix of professionals, fashion enthusiasts and a small bunch of us bloggers who were there for the show, and to catch a glimpse of Park Shin Hye. The radiant actress, who rose to fame through the remarkably well-received SBS drama, You’re Beautiful, arrived at the venue in a belted floral halter from the same collection that was to be shown. She posed for photos with VIPs including Chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo CEO Michele Norsa and when the formalities were over and done with, fans who’d been milling about prior to her arrival were given the golden opportunity of snapping pictures with her as well.
Park Shin Hye was quickly ushered into the confines of the boutique where she was given the chance to browse Ferragamo’s finest and latest collections. Eager members of the media formed a close circle around Park and her hosts, mimicking a rather synchronised performing troupe. When she’d had a few sips of bubbly, Park and Ferragamo personnels finally broke off and adjourned to a cosy set-up on the second floor, for her media interviews.
An end was marked with a graceful closing from Sheila Sim in a seductive deep-blue number. While we were left to mingle and revel in the night’s events, Park Shin Hye was whisked off quickly to complete a few other pressing tasks. Despite the brief meet with the delightful actress, it was just as much a joy seeing her in person as it was attending Ferragamo’s show. Hopefully, we’ll get to see Park again soon, and cover more of such fashion events in future!
